Cliché

February 20, 2010 | Comments | Ego - center

When will people understand that starting a conversation with: “Where you from?” & How old are you? is just not going to get them anywhere. I’d rather slap the next person who comes to me with these two cliched questions.

Try to get it, this is not a shortcut to profiling me. I left my national identity behind long time ago. That means I’m not resembling the average 20 something female coming from my homeland. If there is such thing as average person anyway…to me every single person is unique. Not to mention the uniqueness of every situation.

Don’t even try to make assumptions and fill your brain with prejudice based on my age. Most of the times I feel I’ve been around for centuries and yet I’m acting as a 15 year old. So no point asking that…Let me give you a fresh idea, better kick me, that will provoke more attention, or at least I will bother to (gently) kick you back and smile. Somehow is more tempting than slapping and passing you by as the reincarnation of the next bad cliché, don’t you think?

I like talking to strangers. You can learn so much from encountering different people. But why is it always the wrong ones that come to me?

Oh, I forgot about this one: “Where do you work?” It’s none of your damn business…Why can’t I lie like most people…

P.S. I was kidding about the kick…don’t fancy the idea of being kicked at all. :)

Stay positive, but point out what you don’t like. Otherwise you can’t expect changes. That is the reason of this and every other post – Change! Not like Obama’s change, it’s about you this time.
